The Cynosure Elite works by targeting the hair follicle at the root. The special laser light-beam can differentiate between the color of the skin and the dark hair follicle. Once the light is absorbed by the pigment, the follicle is damaged at the growth site. Not only removing the unwanted hair but damaging it enough to slow future growth as well. It may not be permanent but it is very close to it; hair can be gone from months to years at a time.
